Unicode is a computing industry standard for representing and processing text.
It defines a set of characters and assigns each character a unique number, which allows different systems to represent and interpret the text in a standardized way.
Examples:
| Character | Unicode Code Point |
|---|---|
| A | U+0041 |
| á | U+00E1 |
| 😊 | U+1F60A |
This allows consistent display and processing across all systems.
See: Encoding.
