Subscribed means that data is watched for changes, and when a change occurs, an invalidation signal is sent to the subscriber.
Subscribers are often expressions.
Results of expressions are cached, and the answer is only computed if the expression has never been evaluated on read or has received an invalidation signal due to dependent data change.
